Profile

I am studying contemporary performances of Greek tragedies and how we use the ancient texts to depict problems from our current society on stage, particularly in Andalusia, in the southern part of Spain. In the context of my pre-doctoral contract at my home institution, I would like to spend some months at a foreign research centre, in order to produce a more complete study that allows me to compare Spanish performances to foreign ones, particularly from the UK and/or France, as well as meeting researchers who are working on similar topics.

During my stay in the Institute of Classical Studies, I mainly intend to consult specialised bibliography about the relevance of Greek tragedy nowadays, the dramatic and scenic resources used to perform it on stage, and how it relates to the current problems of our society, as well as some literary studies about the tragedies that I have already 
analysed.
