Listening to the Ancient World: How Ancient Representations of Listening Can Inform a 'Good Listening' Strategy

Mary O’Reilly completed a PhD at Glasgow University, with her chosen research topic being an examination of undercurrents in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. She is currently teaching Latin and Classical Studies at Hamilton College. She has worked on a number of projects aimed to widen access to Classics in both Primary and Secondary schools: ‘Speaking Citizens’ (Sussex University); ‘Better Arguments’ (Glasgow University); and Primary Latin Project (Classical Association of Scotland). She has published two children’s books, Tales from Olympus and Stella’s Christmas Family Tree. She is an Arts and Culture writer for The Cultural Me.
