Tutors: Naomi Wells (IMLR) and Christopher Ohge (IES)

This online workshop will use a mix of real-time and asynchronous teaching to introduce participants to a range of text and data visualisation tools and methods. We will work hands-on with online resources such as Voyant Tools<https://voyant-tools.org/>, Tableau Public<https://public.tableau.com/s/>, and Raw Graphs<https://rawgraphs.io/>, and discuss some of the issues and implications of visualisation in academic work and media more broadly. This event is targeted to research students and early career researchers, but all are welcome; booking is essential. Please commit to attending both sessions. The workshop will involve sessions at 2–3.30 pm on Monday 7 December and Thursday 10 December, with individual and group work to be carried out in between.

Booking is essential.

Organised in collaboration with the Institute of Historical Research, Institute of English Studies, and Institute of Modern Languages Research.
