Description

What counts as public engagement in the context of UK Higher Education? How does it relate to outreach, widening participation and impact? What kinds of activities make for effective public engagement?

This one-hour online training session led by Dr. Emma Bridges (Public Engagement Fellow, Institute of Classical Studies) will introduce participants to the core principles of excellent public engagement.

The session will be of particular interest to research students and those employed in academic posts who would like to know more about engaging wider publics with their research. Attendees from other sectors beyond Higher Education who have an interest in collaborating with university researchers are also very welcome.

This is a free event but places are limited and booking is essential.
