The Cutting Edge: 3D Imaging for Epigraphy
This workshop is a hands-on session using the 3D imaging technique of photogrammetry to create detailed records of inscriptions. Some asynchronous training materials will be provided, which will enable you to get the most out of the session. We will practice photographing inscribed objects, portable or in-place, and processing the photographs into 3D models. We will end with a discussion of the value of this technology in the traditional discipline of epigraphy.
