The Association for the Study and Preservation of Roman Mosaics (ASPROM)
The Association for the Study and Preservation of Roman Mosaics (ASPROM) offers grants up to a maximum value of £500 to support projects relating to the study, conservation and display of ancient mosaics. The grants are open to individuals and to UK sites and museums. Applicants for individual grants should be ASPROM members and doing research for a degree and/or for the publication of a book or article on ancient mosaics, or participating in a project to conserve or preserve mosaics. Applicants for museum or site grants can be the owner or director of the museum or site, an organization that supports the work of the museum or site, or an individual acting on behalf of a museum or site. Society for the Promotion of Byzantine Studies
The Society offers a number of grants for different purposes, including small grants to help with the organisation of one-off conferences, workshops, day-schools or seminars which are concerned with Byzantine studies, to to support a Byzantine panel at Leeds International Medieval Congress, to subsidise the cost of attending its Spring Symposium and the Bryer Postgraduate Travel Fund. The Gilbert Murray Trust
The Trust contributes each year, along with the British Academy’s Cromer Fund and the Joint Association of Classical Teachers, to bursaries for students attending the Summer School organised by JACT at Bryanston or one of the similar summer schools held in several different centres.
